<itunes:summary>Burnout Radio is Co-hosted by Charlie Brumfield and Nick Malone and is the primary podcast at Performance Radio Network. We take a light hearted look at the auto industry and we tend to spend more time off topic than on thanks to Charlie’s A.D.D. and Nick’s obsession with the Dodge Challenger. We share our opinions about our latest test drives and spend a fair amount of time ripping on one another. So if you like a good laugh and are as addicted to cars as we are then you’ll defiantly dig this cast.

Burnout Radio got started mid 2008 when we contrived a scheme to get to test drive a bunch of cars for free. That scheme was the Burnout Radio podcast where we do nothing but test drive cars, review products and go to as many car shows as humanly possibly. Then once a week, we sit down and tell you guys about whats new in the automotive industry, and fill you in on our weekly shenanigans.</itunes:summary>

Now you guys know that I’m not the biggest fan of BMW’s. I got much respect for what they build but they are just not my cup of tea. A bit to techy for my tastes. And the designs tend to be pretty beige. But then I found this over at BMWBlog.com… and I fell in love. If BMW can design something like the M1 Homage pictured to the left then what to we keep getting the boring drivel they call the 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,9,10 series? They may be decent looking super nice, super quick cars, but they just blend in with everything else on the road.

This M1 on the other hand, now that is a beauty. It’s just too bad it’s only a design exercise.

The purpose of the new M1 project is uncertain and the M1 Hommage is strictly a design exercise meant to celebrate the past of its supercar. The car displayed at the Villa d’Este Concours was a non-functional prototype, with no engine and interior, but with working lights and steering. Of course, the speculations will start flowing now and many people will probably look forward to a future design similar to the M1 Hommage, but there are no clues on whether BMW will ever manufacture an M1.

Can you believe this is going up two weeks after we recorded it? Anyway, we sat down with the guys from Gear Head Haven and put together almost 2 hours of gear head goodness. And when the powers of Chrysler and Fiat unite it’s enough to make bond holders cry themselves to sleep at night . Then we’ve got a few tasty tidbits about an all wheel drive Ferrari, and a possible BMW Y series. The car god himself has spoken on Saturn’s new focus on electric cars. And from our friends from across the pond, we’ve got a Bugatti Veryon for only $25K, the world famous Top Gear Test Track is now on the endangered species, and the Aston Martin Rapied has been spied. And in the realm of new and uber cool we’ve got the one the only Ferrari Enzo II and the return of the CobraJet! And ofcourse we’ve got our weekly Fiesta Update.

This week we've got loads of good stuff out of F1: Jensen Button gets win number 6 (http://www.4wheelsnews.com/saturn-will-not-sell-the-smart-brand-says-penske/), Lotus may come back to F1 (http://www.4wheelsnews.com/lotus-could-return-to-formula-one-from-2010/), and FIA and FOTA go head to head (http://paddocktalk.com/news/html/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=111649). And when the powers of Chrysler and Fiat unite (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31185911/) it's enough to make bond holders cry themselves to sleep at night . Then we've got a few tasty tidbits about an all wheel drive Ferrari (http://www.leftlanenews.com/report-ferrari-readies-four-wheel-drive.html), and a possible BMW Y series (http://www.4wheelsnews.com/rumor-bmw-preparing-new-lineup-of-y-cars/). The car god himself has spoken on Saturn's new focus on electric cars (http://www.4wheelsnews.com/saturn-will-not-sell-the-smart-brand-says-penske/). And from our friends from across the pond, we've got a Bugatti Veryon for only $25K (http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/08/hanna-barberas-wacky-racers-take-to-the-street-ahead-of-goodwoo/), the world famous Top Gear Test Track is now on the endangered species (http://www.v8.co.nz/news/3900/top-gear-may-lose-test-track-to-eco-village), and the Aston Martin Rapied has been spied (http://www.4wheelsnews.com/production-version-aston-martin-rapide-caught-in-the-parking-lot/). And in the realm of new and uber cool we've got the one the only Ferrari Enzo II (http://www.leftlanenews.com/ferrari-enzo.html) and the return of the CobraJet! (http://www.fordracing.com/news/detail/?article=36475) And ofcourse we've got our weekly Fiesta Update.</itunes:summary>

Yup Audi is looking to loose over 800 pounds of the next gen A5. Then V W get’s a bit confused about it’s Rabbit, and then they bult a 250 mpg car, all in a days work for those zaney Germans.

We also talk a little bit about the Fiesta Movement, our impending trip to Hot Import Nights, the launch of our new video cast, and a new series of articles we are writting called Public Service Announcments! Then we introduce, dum dum duuuuum! The Tech Segment! We swore we’d never do it, but we went and did it anyway. As usual I blame Nick.

And all apologies for the bad recording quality on Jini’s voice over, for some reason it came out all sparkley when I was editing it.
