The 300zx is one of the coolest sports cars from the entire 1990s. When they were sold in Japan they were called the Fairlady Z over there. The body style of  300zx is time less and tasteful with its high tail lights and smooth lines. Nissan never sold themselves short with the great paint that came on these cars simple and sexy colors like sports cars should be. I personally always wanted one with the Pearle paint and tan leather inside. To be totally honest its hard to find one these days in good shape due to past owners running them so hard. With a wing or with out, hard top or rag top the 300zx looks great. The last year this car was sold in the US was 1996.

Lets take a quick look at the 1996 300zx twin turbo’s engine and drive train stats. In the front was a 3.0L DOHC V6 that featured twin inter cooled turbos and dual throttle bodies on the intake. This set up was good for a stock output of 300 hp and 284 ft_lbs of torque. Upgrade this engine with bigger turbos and a good tune and expect big power and speed out of this little two seater. There were two transmission options a 5 speed manual or a 4 speed automatic and was  RWD with a top speed of 155mph. The only down fall I have for the engine that its a nightmare to work on. The engine bay is very compact and just changing the spark plugs can take some time and effort. Over all the 1996 300zx twin turbo is a awesome car with a clean look that still has people looking even today.
